Great News for NeRAIN

The gauges for the original NeRAIN project area were paid for through a grant from the Nebraska Environmental Trust. As you know, this project has been a very educational and useful and has benefited many of your fellow Nebraskans. A new NET grant has now been approved to allow for expansion to the rest of our state.

If you have family, friends, acquaintances, strangers, or anyone else in Nebraska who you feel might be willing to participate in this very worthwhile volunteer project, please send them to the NeRAIN website at http://dnrdata.dnr.ne.gov/NeRAIN/ and have them fill out the application at http://dnrdata.dnr.ne.gov/NeRAIN/DataEntry/Register.asp. You will be able to tell when the site is ready for new volunteers when the map on the front page includes the entire state.

NOTE: The site is currently being revised to cover the remainder of the state. It is expected to be ready for new volunteers in the expanded area in just a couple of days. During this time, the site may be a bit unstable so please be patient during the modification phase.

Thanks again for volunteering for NeRAIN.
